We are writing to alert you to a phishing scam that has recently been reported by several members.
Individuals are sending fraudulent emails while impersonating AADP leadership and former association representatives. Recent reports have included requests for members to purchase gift cards on behalf of the association. These messages are not authorized by AADP and often request the purchase of gift cards or other financial transactions.
Please remember:
• AADP will never ask you to purchase gift cards on behalf of the association.
• AADP will never request wire transfers, cryptocurrency payments, or payments to individuals.
• Official AADP communications will not ask members to make personal purchases for staff, directors, or volunteers.
• If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from AADP, do not reply, click links, purchase anything, or provide personal information.
If you receive one of these messages, please forward it to us at support@aadp.net so we can continue tracking the activity.
At this time, we have no evidence that AADP systems have been compromised. This appears to be an impersonation scam using publicly available information.
Thank you to the members who have already reported these messages. Your vigilance helps protect the entire professional community.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Troudt
Executive Director
American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP)
